SCHOOL HEALTH PLAN

• Swine Flu Awareness Programme : The residents were made aware of the precautions and preventions related to Swine Flu by the students of Health Clubs.
  
• Swach Vatavaran, Swach Samaj: Linking the come back of Dengue to unhygienic conditions they coaxed the residents to keep their environment healthy to promote safe living.
  
• No takers for Crackers: Like, every year the students pledged not to burn crackers on Diwali but light up their homes with ‘Diyas’. They also convinced people in the vicinity to do the same.

DIABETES WALK – Around 150 students walked around neighbourhood along with their moms to educate people about diabetes and the urgent need to prevent it. They advised the residents to incorporate healthy eating habits and physical activity in their life style so as to save themselves from the ‘Tsaunamis of diabetes’. The event was organized jointly by Indo-US Diabetes Coaliation, PHFI and HRIDAY SHAAN.

Diabetes Screening Camp – Diabetes screening Camp was organized for the Parents as a part of celebration of Diabetes Prevention Week.

Specialists from for reputed hospitals of Delhi were invited for the endeavour.

BLOOD DONATION CAMP : The Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with Red Cross Society of India is an annual affair in the school. This year the camp was held on December 26,2009. As many as 75 volunteers attended the camp and the eligible candidates donated their blood for a noble cause.
